The Club was re-formed in 1972 after being in existence many years previously and played in the Accrington Combination. In 2001 the first team entered the East Lancashire Football League second Division and the club won the Chairman's shield in the first season in the league. 2003 was a successful year for the club, the first team finishing as runners up in the second division and thereby gaining promotion to the first division. In 2007/2008 the reserve team entered the reserve division of the East Lancs League, In the 2008/09 Season, the first team won the second division championship and again promoted to the first division. In 2o13/2014 our sunday team won the Lancashire FA Sunday Trophy. Sadly as with many other clubs, senior football began to struggle and in recent years we have built our junior section to 10+ Teams. whilst there has always been an ambition to restore senior football at the earliest opportunity - re-joining the East Lancs league for 2023/24
