Belvedere & Calder Vale Sports Club (BCVSC) consists of three amateur sports sections, namely:

Burnley Belvedere FC.
Burnley RUFC.
Belvedere Cricket Club.

Burnley Belvedere was formed in 1881 and played their home games at Turf Moor.

The rugby and cricket sections were formed in 1926 and 1948 respectively.

In 1957 a small committee of businessmen raised funds to buy a 6-acre plot of land to build a sports club and pitches to facilitate amateur sport for football, rugby and cricket in the local community.

A further purchase of land was made in later years to become the club as we know it today.
