Goals Galore

By Kenneth BARKER-GRAHAM

First week gets off to a goal fest

In the proper first week of games only 2 teams failed to score in the 8 fixtures, and at least 5 teams got 4 or more goals.

There were fantastic victories in the premier league for Mill Hill who trounced Waddington 9-1 and a very strong Langho thrashed Peel Park 8-1. Not to be out done in division one there were high scoring games, as Colne Utd travelled to AFC Burnley and Rock Rovers started their home campaign against Poppy Mai both recording 6-0 victories. In the other high scoring game Prairie Utd got the better of new team Rolls with a 4-2 home win.

Other results all saw the away teams triumphant in 1-2 wins as Read Utd lost to Rimington in the Premier and in division one Hapton lost their 2nd game of the season this time to Langho 72, Settle Utd recorded their 2nd win of the season away at Mill Hill St Peter.

Where next?

More Goals Galore Settle equal Mill Hill's first week's scoreline.
